How and why: Remake of an old image. Improved the composition a bit and had better light (been there a few times to look for it! And the sun disappeared five minutes later). Just love the old red brick industry and the power of the water fall.
Editing: HDR tone mapped and some added contrast adjustments, desaturared a bit.

The foreground is a symbol for the concert hall in Norrköping, the background is the typical blue window on a yellow wall that you find everywhere in the industrial landscape.

Had another lovely photo session yesterday, but cold! Guessing we got -10C towards the end.
Stopped for coffee at the museum of work in this house, and continued after dark.

The water was moving a fair bit, so the reflections are not sharp, but the exposure was long, which made it smooth.

Light Falls

How and why: A waterfall with some ice in front, and light reflecting from the surface of the water beyond finding its way into my camera. I just fell in love with the light here, and composed what I thought was a simple but interesting detail. ND8 and circular polarizing filter used.

How and why: I've tried this perspective before, and it's pretty classic view for photographers in this city. Love the arches, the old rusted tones, the view beyond. I focused more on the lines (and the boxes) in this case, and to make the most of the rust tones. Long exposures. Standing in here can be quite deafening as the sound from the waterfall is enhanced in the pipe.

How and why: The red carpet leading into these old buildings. Actually, this place used to be a complete mess (3 years ago), but at least back then it was interesting. And that white structure is new... and completely obscene, don't you think? It completely blocks the tower in the middle from this view from the back side. Someone should be shot for ruining this place...
