my eldest granddaughter was what we call "dúx" as she graduated from college yesterday..dúx means she had the highest average grades in the school..the top student..she also was the dúx in 5 majors and got a scholarship fund..we are overwhelmed with pride and joy for her..

she plans to go to university in a year to become a math teacher..
i have to tell you too that she sometimes helped her math teacher to explain the formulas to the other students so they would understand..
at the graduation they called out a fellow student to help her carry all the prizes!
the background isn´t allt that pretty but she definately compliments it with her beautiful face and the happy smile..:) hopefully one day i will own photoshop for mac and then i can change it..

sorry..my hair is not done and i have have hardly any make up on..:( :)
oh well..but..i am happy!

was woken up this morning with a kiss from my prince and a birthday present..a new carry case for my camera! it´s fabulous..i can have 2 cameras..4 lenses and a flash in it..and it has lots of little pockets for acessories..both zipped and unzipped..not too big though..

i have had my present from my dad and his wife..4 antique cups and saucers that were my late grandmothers! i was so blessed! they are beautiful..

i love when i look out my kitchen window and see the kids in the streets playing in the springtime..summer might even be here as the temperatures have really gone up..

some of you may remember little andrea..the dark haired girl in the photo..i have some photos of her here on my photostream..she used to live in this street..
so sadly..she just lost her mother to cancer..makes me weep for her..

her family moved away to the country shortly after her mother became sick but everytime she visits her friends in the street she knocks on my door with a big smile on her face..saying: "you told me always to come and see you when i visit my friend freyja"..and she faithfully does..
she loves tinna..our cat..

i like this photo..so full of life!

they invited us for coffee in their brand new place last night..their nest is so cute..and they are so happy..i had to snap a photo of them..

simon is studying literature and history in college, is a great guitar player and excellent song writer..

vanya works in a hosptial and she spreads joy and smiles around..you can just see that in her face!

good friends are hard to find..when you find them..hold on to them with your dear life..

it takes a lifetime to keep a great friendship going..it could take a second to destroy it..

if we think of others above ourselves..we´ll win every time..

DON´T FORGET TO WATCH SUPERNOVA TONIGHT..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some of you may remember my niece..ágústa...who was a part of the icelandic idol for a while...she and her mom insisted i come with them to the opera "cinderella" last nigt for a change of scenery..this is taken at ruby tuesdays where we had a bit to eat before we went to the opera house..
