In the drawing room of Kilkenny Castle in Ireland there is a replica portrait by Anthony van Dyck depicting the children of Charles I. In it, the young heir, Charles II, is restraining a huge mastiff merely by placing his hand on it's head. The portrait is a metaphor for the power that Charles II will inherit over his kingdom.

Part of the cirque de la nuit set.

This is a shot that I had put together in my head but I had no idea how it would work out. It took a lot of setup and a lot of patience (on Melissa's part) to get it but eventually it turned out pretty much how I had imagined.
