The good old days are back! I’ve drenched my studio in food coloring again! I haven’t done any splash photography for nearly a half year and it’s good to be back. Good to be knee-deep in food coloring, being angry when you miss the shot the hundredth time and especially good when you finally make THE SHOT.

I visitied my old class and did a few pictures of their new theater play called 'May'. Then I decided to shoot a few pics of the lead characters, but I only had two minutes left to do that... two minutes to set up the lights, tell the models what to do. Not my best shot, if I would have had an extra five minutes, it would have been so much better. But not so exciting...

For the Easter break my family and I were invited to visit our friends in Lisbon and Penny asked if I could accidentally fit some photo equipment into my suitcase so I could photograph her daughter Phoebe, who I’ve also known for nearly 15 years and I haven’t seen her in ages. So this was a huge reunion and a non-photo oriented trip. But I still took some photos… some 10 gigabytes of them... not just of her, most of them of the city, before you misunderstand it :)

I’m a bit behind with my project, so I made two pictures last week and I think it is obvious that the second one is much better. However much I like to photograph myself, I have to admit, Zsófi looks much better on the pictures. I went all DIY this time: super cheap V-Card for $2,5, reflector for $1. Sounds good, right? As you may have read, my good old Canon 40D failed on me a little over two weeks ago and was on repairs for a week, sadly it had to get a new shutter, which is expensive business, but at least I have my own camera again and not a borrowed one. As you all may know, today is Saint Patrick’s Day (happy Saint Patrick’s Day!), this day is an Irish national holiday and people all around the world celebrate Ireland, being Irish and especially celebrating Guinness! Since I lived in Ireland for 3 years, I feel a bit Irish too, so when I heard that Budapest had a Paddy’s day celebration I felt I had to be there, and if I’m going to a place like this, why not take a camera with me?
