this one sure didn't do much. if only all children were like that--i
hate the crying and the screaming and the running and the plastic toys
and the disobedience and the bad cartoons and a lot of other stuff
about kids.

but noah was cool. he isn't fussy and doesn't cry or get grumpy. he
makes weird faces and tiny noises and poops sometimes. he's kinda like
a cat.

Rob had the funniest story for this towel. He had this teal towel that he was using in New York, and when he packed his stuff to move back to San Jose, the towel wouldn't fit. So he cut it into the shape of a Shark fin and was carrying it when we went to the game on his birthday.

His sister's comment: "Good thing you didn't pack the scissors first"

I felt like hell all day and certainly couldn't be arsed to 'come out and play'. I managed as much as depositing the rent check and getting coffee, but not much beyond that, and I've been neglecting to start the paper that's due in about 27 hours, but I do work best under pressure. (I know people just say that, but it's really true, I can do fantastic work under the gun).

Anyway, I do like the Beatles version of this song, of course, but I get the Siouxsie and the Banshees one stuck in my head all the time because a) somehow I have four mp3s of it, and b) it's used in one of the show identification things on KSCU for the 80s Underground show (the BEST show on KSCU in years, seriously). I couldn't pick a favourite Beatles song, but of course I have a favourite Beatle--Paul, duh.

No idea why I look like I'm posing for a freaking old-timey portrait.

I used to come to this Peet's all the time (since I worked two doors down). They finally repainted the walls last year, which I SWEAR they had not done since this store opened in 1997ish.

I started taking pictures of myself whilst I was waiting for my friend Jon, and this lady came up to me and asked if I wanted her to take my picture. I politely declined and explained that I take a self portrait every day, and she was so excited, I should've taken a picture.

Sarah makes this awesome mango salsa and I think I ate all of hers last week. It's my crack. She only makes it when mangoes are on sale, but they weren't on Monday so I ended up spending about $12 on all the ingredients. Once it hits your lips, it's so good !

If you can't tell, this is a very hard angle to achieve. Try putting your feet against your wall and manoeuvring your torso to be parallel to the wall, then take a picture with your shitty point-and-shoot. I found new muscles !

I saw a photo of a burlesque dancer on irregular girl's photostream (who, by the way, is one of the most beautiful people alive, I think) and had to have a pair of vertical striped tights. I ordered them online from some goth shop in the Great White North. I LOVE them, I want another pair already.

A few months ago, New Belgium made a beer that was for sale in their Folly Packs (but only the ones distributed in Colorado/Chicago or something) and available on tap at their Fort Collins, CO brewery. I emailed someone at the brewery to see if they had planned on distributing this ale, and at the time, they did not. At the Celebrator Beerfest I found out that MIGHTY ARROW IS THE SPRING SEASONAL !! YAAAAY !

The reason I'm so into this is because it's called Mighty Arrow after the founder Kim's Aussie/Border Collie mix who "ran the brewery". Dottie is an Aussie/Border Collie and the girl at the brewery who I emailed said that Arrow looked just like Dottie. So I really wanted to get the Dottie beer ! Now I have it. It's pretty good. Atta girl, Arrow.
