I made the switch yesterday, and will be slowly moving/adding my work to ipernity. I will be using both sites, as my flickr "Pro" doesn't expire for a while.

Oh, that's right... Marissa-Mayer-19-Photos-on-Flickr says there's "no such thing as Pro" anymore.

Bill walked in from getting the mail and asked, "did you order a book?" "I didn't order a book," I replied. "I don't think I ordered a book," Bill said, sounding like he was trying to convince himself as he fumbled with the package in the kitchen.

"Maybe it's a gift," I added from the other room. "Keeping the Peace... Stories by Colette Maitland; I didn't order this." Bill was sounding very confused now. He handed the book to me.

"Ohmygodohmygod! It's the book; THE BOOK! " I shouted.

With everything going on lately, I forgot that I was contacted a few months ago by a publishing company that wanted to use this photo for the cover of an upcoming release. We worked out the details but I didn't know about the author or what the book was about... until today.

That's my parents and me on the cover; the photo was made in June 1968, just before my fifth birthday. Those of you who know about my family relashionships should easily detect the irony with regard to the book's title and description. Regardless, I'm very excited!

A heart attack survivor perplexes his family with a newfound sense of religious euphoria, while a nursing home volunteer struggles with the bad behaviour of one of her veteran patients.
