This is a picture of my dog sitting in my bed. In all honesty I think this is one of the best images I've taken because I can't even begin to verbalize how difficult it is to photograph her, since she's constantly moving, yawning, running, just doing *things*. Luckily I think the fact that I was waving this mysterious shiny-flashy box in front of her face distracted her for a split second that she forgot she was sitting still.

This is a photograph I took in Berlin a few years ago with what I think is the Quebecois flag on top of a building. I thought it was really interesting to find a little piece of home on the other side of the world.

This is a photograph I took of a completed art project (which I can't remember the details about), in which I painstakingly embroidered a clothespin onto a Starbucks coffee sleeve. I think it speaks to my determination as well as my stubbornness, as I recall my fingers being sore for days afterwards.

This is a school photograph of me when I was in the third grade. The sweater I'm wearing was one of many that my mom knitted for me, and I still have it in my closet.

This is a photograph from a photobooth set, taken of my parents on their first date in the 1970s. According to the notes on the back, they were 19 and 18, and in Toronto. They liked this picture of themselves so much that they scanned the original photobooth reel, enlarged this image, and printed it off to ensure that there would always be a backup copy if the original was damaged.

This is a photograph of my grandfather looking dapper, from the 1950s in what I am pretty certain is Florida. I think he, as the subject, stands out in stark contrast to the background, perhaps an effect enhanced by the black-and-white nature of the photograph.
