&lt;p&gt;This is the empty launchpad after liftoff of Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-133. We had to go out there in the dark and retrieve all of our remote cameras from the field. There is nothing for miles around the launchpad except for swamp and mosquitoes. So it's very beautiful to see it all lit up like this against the pitch black surroundings.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
