They locked us up behind the Bricks
All our dreams, all our hopes
Locked in little cell
In blocks all the same
With only this dark sky as a view...

Ils ont emprisonné nos vies dans la brique.
Tous nos rêves, tous nos espoirs.
Enfermés, clac, clic
Dans ces cellules minuscules
Empilées dans des blocs tous identiques
Avec ce ciel si noir comme seul spectacle

Long and Winding, this road doesn't lead to your door.
The brick is not yellow and it doesn't lead to Oz either.
But you can walk it or even go for a ride on your bike.
Listening to a good old Beatles.
Or even to an old Elton il you like.
And enjoying the sweet weather of this afternoon.

Long et sinueux, le chemin ne mène pas chez toi.
La brique n'est pas jaune et il ne va pas jusque Oz.
Longeant l'eau, tu peux le suivre à pied ou à vélo.
Du Beatles ou même de l'Elton John dans les oreilles
En profitant de cette douce après-midi.

Last stop to take the bus to the sky.
Leaving the urban field and flying over the city streets and the buildings to the fields of clouds.

Dernier arrêt pour prendre le bus céleste.
Il ne s'arrête que sur demande. Direction : les champs de nuages dans le ciel, en passant au-dessus des rues et des immeubles de la ville, loin du terrains vagues et des champs urbains.
