After a renovation that lasted more than ten years, the Rijksmuseum has opened its doors to the public again. Inside, many walls that had been painted white in the sixties, have been given back their original decorations, such as the murals by Georg Sturm.

After a ridiculously long renovation - ten years! - the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam opened its doors to the public again on Saturday, 13 April 2013. And it has been worth the wait.

Here a detail from Cornelis Cornlisz. van Haarlem's De Zondeval ("The Fall of Man"), painted in 1592.
