Aliso Beach Park features sandy beaches, rocky promontories, and scenic coastal foothills. These geological features combine to form one of the most recreationally appealing areas along the entire California coast. The park consists of two sections, the beach itself and an inland area surrounded by native coastal chaparral. Aliso Creek winds its way down from the Laguna foothills and empties into the sea. A marine life refuge borders to the north and south, rocky outcroppings clearly mark the park boundary. These features plus the congenial Southern California climate make Aliso Beach Park an ideal place to visit.

Victoria Beach

Victoria Beach is a short stroll from Casa Laguna hotel and is known for its soft white sand, beautiful blue-green water, impressive residences (old and new) and its famous residents. "La Tour" is located at Victoria Beach, one of Laguna's most private public beaches. V but the main attraction is the tower built in 1926. It was designed to provide spiraling stairs from the precipitous cliffs above. Its appearance of an early Victorian lighthouse or turret of a 16th century castle delights tourists who often photograph it.

Baker Beach

Baker Beach is a public beach on the peninsula of San Francisco, California, U.S.. The beach lies on the shore of the Pacific Ocean to the northwest of the city. It is roughly a half mile long, beginning just south of Golden Gate Point (where the Golden Gate Bridge connects with the peninsula), extending southward toward the Seacliff peninsula, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Sutro Baths. The northern section of Baker Beach is "frequented by clothing-optional sunbathers". As such it is considered a nude beach.[1][2]

Baker Beach is part of the Presidio, which was a military base from the founding of San Francisco by the Spanish in 1776 until 1997. In 1904, it was fortified with disappearing gun installations known as Battery Chamberlin, which can still be viewed today.[3] When the Presidio was decommissioned as a U.S. Army base, it became part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which is administered by the National Park Service.
From 1986 to 1990, the north end of Baker Beach was the original site of the Burning Man art festival. In 1990, park police allowed participants to raise the traditional large statue but not to set it on fire, since the beach enforces a limit on the size of any campfires. Subsequent Burning Man events have taken place in Black Rock Desert, Nevada.[4]
A shark attack occurred on Baker Beach on May 7, 1959[5] when 18-year old Albert Kogler Jr. was attacked by a great white shark while he was 15 feet deep in water.[6] This was the only shark attack recorded on Baker Beach.
Large outcrops of serpentine cliffs occur along the Pacific coast near Baker Beach. When rising from the land surface, serpentine produces a low-calcium, high-magnesium soil that can allow for rare species of plants to develop in the vicinity.[1] This may explain the presence of Hesperolinon congestum (the Marin Dwarf Flax, a threatened plant) in surrounding areas.[citation needed]

Dana Point is a city located in southern Orange County, California. The population was about 37,326 as of January 1, 2010 according to the California Department of Finance.[1] It has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast, and with ready access via State Route 1, it is a popular local destination for surfing and was home to a legendary surf break called Killer Dana.

The city was named after the headland of Dana Point, which was in turn named for Richard Henry Dana, Jr., author of Two Years Before the Mast, which included a description of the area. Dana described the locale, including neighboring San Juan Capistrano, as "the only romantic spot on the coast".[2] Although Dana described the anchorage as poor, it is now a developed harbor and contains a replica of his ship, the Pilgrim. The Pilgrim is used as a classroom by the Ocean Institute, which is located at the harbor. This area is designated California Historical Landmark #189.

One of the very few known specimens of the megamouth shark was caught off Dana Point in 1990.

Yesterday we had an awesome time down at Board N’ Brew in San Clemente shooting some of their amazingly delicious sandwiches. If you have not had a chance to get down to beautiful San Clemente here in Orange County you are missing out!!! You need to jump in your car and go have some lunch here, you won’t regret it!

It has been awhile since I posted a portrait. Hector and I have been hard at work, shooting like crazy for clients and for ourselves. We shot this on Saturday and then shot a band late into the evening as well. Make sure to check out Hector's stream for that band shot.

Anyways, this is Sydney and she was such an awesome model to work with. We had so much fun running around an abandoned trailer with great sets. We shot A LOT of great stuff that day.

Hector and I went out to Bombay Beach/ Salton Sea last Saturday. It was sort of last minute, so we only had about 2 hours to shoot. I spent about an hour of my time with these rocks because the last trip I was out there they were impossible to get close to. It's crazy how low the water has gotten in 9 months!

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard and Navy were searching early Friday for as many as nine people off the Southern California coast following a collision between a Coast Guard plane and a Marine Corps helicopter, officials said.

The crash was reported at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, about 50 miles off the San Diego County coast and 15 miles east of San Clemente Island, Coast Guard spokeswoman Petty Officer Allyson Conroy said.

A pilot reported seeing a fireball near where the aircraft collided, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said, and the Coast Guard informed the FAA that debris from a C-130 had been spotted. Seven people were on board the plane, a C-130, and two people were aboard the helicopter, he said.

Hector and I, shot our first wedding along with John Salgado last Saturday. It was an awesome venue, The Prado at Balboa Park. This shot however, was taken at the U.S. Grant Hotel while the bride was in the Bridal room.

This is one of the dress shots that we took that evening. We have been having a blast starting our studio and working together. This was a combination of our ideas meshing.

We are now shooting weddings so if you know anyone in need of some amazing photography, give us a shout!

So I finally made it back after 7 long fairs, and I've been in the studio with Hector ever since. I've been working on our prints for the art auction tomorrow night
Endless Summer Benefit Concert If you're in the area we would love for you to come by and pay a visit, but you must be at least 21+

I'm glad to say that Hector and I will finally be putting the finishing touches on some workshop dates. We will announce it all soon, send us an email and let us know if your interested.

P.S. I bought myself a birthday present on the 7th for all my hard work on the road, so I'm currently packing a D700 w/ Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF Autofocus. Hopefully I'll have some shots from it soon! =D

Off to Paris, Texas in the morning to drop off a stand and pick up some FRESH beef jerky to snack on before the Oklahoma State Fair Starts
Not sure I'll have internet for a while, so I decided to dip in the archives for a Bombay Beach photo. While trying to organize my new photos, I ran into a big problem! I've managed to fill up my 300gb hdd and cannot shoot till I get an external hdd or delete some crap. I currently have 39,699 photos. About an hour ago it was over 40,000, so hopefully you understand I have limited time, even for myself. I hope to catch up with ya'll soon, if only I can manage to pick up a verizon card before getting trapped at another fair. btw~ if you live near the oklahoma state fair, stop by to see me... =D

On another note, I have an art auction as soon as I get home, so maybe you can tell me some of your favorite photos I should print... It would be greatly appreciated!!

Went out to Aliso to shoot pictures with Hector and Michael. It was Michael's first time to this beach and the weather couldn't of been any better! We had a great time and everyone got wet! Good thing I carry a pair of dry shoes in my trunk. =D

This is a shot from last night, I headed out (chasing clouds) to shoot with Hector and Leon towards Corona Del Mar.. We didn't have much time especially since I was using my nd400. It was just nice to get out and be at peace with the beaches again! Home sweet home! By the way thank you to each and everyone of you for the birthday wishes! You guys are the best! I still need to get back to you guys! Hopefully tonight, if not first thing in the morning! =D
