Running 54 minutes early in beautiful sunshine, WCRC's 47854 thrashes through Llandudno Junction with the 5Z53 Holyhead - Carnforth ECS run.

At least this spoon's got ploughs! Makes it look a little more interesting, but still boring...

After a successful run to Bangor, Northern Belle-liveried 47790 'Galloway Princess' leads the 1Z51 back along the coast at Mochdre heading for Nottingham.

Only two examples of DRS' class 47 fleet support the Northern Belle chocolate and cream livery. The first one to receive it was 47790 and is seen on the rear of the 1Z50 'Belle to Bangor from Nottingham seen at Abergele.

WCRC's 47826 leads the 1Z52 along the coastline for Cardiff with today's tour from Holyhead through Old Colwyn seen from Hotel 70.

I had planned to get a better shot with the headland at Rhos included, but the dodgy focusing on my camera, it decided it didn't want one. This is the best of a bad bunch...

With the passenger train now out of the way, 47854 thrashes past Conwy Castle with the 5Z52 Carnforth - Holyhead ECS ready for tomorrow's tour to Cardiff. Timed it perfectly with the sun also!

Still on loan to GBRf, 57604 'Pendennis Castle' in its unique GWR special livery is seen in the Basford South sidings awaiting its next duty.

And before anyone asks, the lens flare is natural and not photoshopped on.

Due to the broken down intermodal service, the afternoon Wrexham & Shropshire run to Marylebone from Basford Parkway had to be run into the sidings to clear the line and the set is seen here during a sunny afternoon at Basford South Sidings.
