Are you worried about the traffic in Maldives? Well, there is no reason to worry. All you have to do is check here; we have the latest traffic report for Maldives. Male - the capital. A tiny island, about 2 km long and 1 km large - and 65000 people inhabiting it. Of course this causes traffic jams... which is not exactly your idea of a maldivian island. male is the "other" Maldives: tall white concrete buildings, hundreds of little streets, one beach - artificial by the way. Definitely not pretty, but truly intriguing.

It's really clean and tidy - and has some interesting mosques, modern and old - and very little else in terms of things to see. Male is bursting, and new islands are being taken over or built to make room for the new Males.

Male - Capital of Maldives
Male' would certainly count as one of the smallest capitals in the world in terms of its physical size. A third of the country's population, about 75,000 live in Male'. Different from any other island in the country, Male' is a city of high-rise buildings and paved roads. While the government offices are located in one area, the main streets are lined with shops and offices. In the old bazaar area which still houses the country's hub of wholesale and retail trade, the lanes are so narrow that a single vehicle would find it difficult to navigate through, especially with its throngs of busy people. read more

SAFF Games Victory Celebrations in Maldives, Maldives won the SAFF games Final beating India 1 , 0 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. All the citizens of Maldives were seen very excited and celebrations all around Male’. I was moving around near my home and got some shots

God gave us rules on how to live,

My first photo Walk, 220208
It was really great meeting all the folks who came out. I especially enjoyed meeting Nazee, Simon Shareef, Chospatis, Afu, John & Ahmed Zahid who were 07 people with me.

We started around 07:30AM Maldives Capital city -Male' east beach side (Parking area) and then walked some specific road of the City (Simon was our compass). It really was about the best way possible to spend early morning (without breakfast). If I could be doing anything in the world all day long it's taking photos and it's especially great when hanging out with other like minded photowalkers. Thanks for great breakfast! :-)P:
