family heirloom triptych

pukunui81 posted a photo:

Each of my girls wore this family heirloom baptismal gown that dates back to Victorian times or thereabouts. It would've been handstitched by one of my ancestors, most likely in the vicinity of Toronto, Canada.

Apparently I did not fit the gown when my parents had me baptised. I was too big and fat.

D1 is on the left. She was nine weeks old at the time. D2 is in the middle. She was only five weeks old, although the picture was also taken from further up. On the right is D3, who was baptised this morning on her seven week "anniversary".

A little note on the lighting: the photo of D1 was taken with natural light coming through the windows, the photo of D2 was taken using the built-in flash on my old Sony point 'n' shoot, and the photo of D3 was taken with my new speedlite flash mounted on my Canon.
