One of my favorite places to take blue hour pictures. Sadly, I would have to drive almost 1.000 km to reach this spot every time I wanted to do it. And 1.000 more km to get back home...

Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Canada. This fabulous sunrise, the most beautiful I have ever seen, is my favorite photographic moment of the year. I took a lot of pictures that early morning, and I have to process them still, but I'd like to choose this one as my best picture from 2012. It's also my picture number 400 in flickr. This is another of the most beautiful lakes on the Canadian Rocky Mountain, at least for us. I took dozens of pictures from here, which I have to process still. But here is one of them.
The color of the water is simply as amazing as you can see here. It's not a post processing product. It's just a gift from Nature.

Spirit Island

This is one of the most iconic spots in Jasper National Park, and in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The beautiful Spirit Island, on Maligne Lake, really has something special for those who get there, and it's difficult to forget.

I'd like to dedicate this shot to my dear friend Phil Kuntz (Phil's Pixels), as it is one of his favorite places on the Rockies. He told me a lot about the marvelous places I would see on the Rockies before I had the opportunity to get there.

This is my favorite lake on the Canadian Rocky Mountains. And the most beautiful scenery and landscape I have ever been to. Would be incredible living in such an extraordinary place. I could be taking pictures there for hundreds of days...
Hope I go back there someday, as soon as possible!
