This cozy little cafe has a rather interesting story behind it. On it's walls are pinned in 80 different languages, messages of "I love you". It started when one German traveler fell in love with a Tibetan girl who used to frequent the cafe. So he wrote "I love you" in Tibetan and left the message behind for her. Well, eventually they met and married, and lived happily ever after. A similar thing happened to a Greek couple. They met here and fell in love and married and lived happily ever after. Ever since, it has become a tradition to leave behind an "I love you" message in your native language.
If you ever visit McLeod Ganj, you must not miss JJI cafe. They have great music, great ambience, and most importantly, great food. The hostess is most charming. And the family that owns it have adopted a dog named 'Handsome'.
The cafe is named after the sons of Nyima, the lady who runs it. Jamyang, Jigme and Ingsel have a well known band of their own. Read more about them here.

My father rescued this pup and gave her to some soldiers on an outpost so that they could look after her. She will eventually grow up to be a guard dog. Unfortunately, she hasn't been eating very much. She is just the cutest little thing. They had to tie her up because she got too excited seeing our dog (Chloe) and wouldn't let us leave. She seems a little scraggly, but she's really pretty.
