— Meet BUDDY! —

SEE BUDDY IN ACTION!

This beautiful boy is a brown and white Pit Bull Terrier who is approximately 2 to 3 years old and weighing in around 80 pounds.

He was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles very hungry and scared. Luck was with him one day when he happened to stop in front of a house that loves dogs and took him in. Shy at first and not knowing where he was, he quickly warmed up to his new human friends. Buddy is NOT GOOD with cats but loves other dogs that are okay with larger Pit Bulls. He's a big guy with a heart as big as his size. He's potty trained, knows commands like "sit", "down", "stay" and "kiss". He's learning to walk on a leash. Buddy is very curious and loves to goof around. One of his biggest (and best) qualities is that he L-O-V-E-S to cuddle and would do so with you all day, if you let him. He's an indoor dog and you can leave me outside during the day if you're not home but make sure he has a warm bed and blanket and is inside as he does not like cold weather.

Buddy promises to love and keep you company for the rest for his life. All he asks in return is affection, a warm bed, and the promise that you will keep him until it's his time to visit Doggie Heaven.

Buddy has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

• OBSERVATIONS BY DOG BEHAVIORIST •
On the behavioral side - Buddy is a piece of cake. Yes, he's a big boy, but very manageable with a GREAT personality. A moderate to experienced Pitty handler would be best considering his size, but not a requirement. He's a bit forward in his greeting but accepts correction and redirection very easily and gives neat kisses (not slobbery). The one downside to this love bug are cats. Unfortunately, Buddy doesn't do well with them, which isn't to say this can't be corrected -- as he's a very willing/receptive learner.

"Sweetie pie" was one name given to him. No living creature is perfect, and he definitely deserves a second chance -- he's come this far. Please help this sweet boy.

Meet Bugsy! Bugsy is a 10 month old pocket pit-bull, weighing in at 40 lbs. Bugsy is potty-trained, crate-trained, rides very well in the car, and has just graduated from training “boot camp”! At her training camp, Bugsy learned how to sit, lay down, and heel. She also knows to stop at the front door until asked to proceed, and also is trained to go to her “place” (pet bed) where she will remain until told she can move (up to 4 hours). She also knows not to get up onto furniture unless expressly invited. Bugsy has behaved very well around the children that she has been in contact with, including the trainer’s children while she was at camp for 2 weeks. Bugsy is extremely smart, and learns very quickly. She is very affectionate and loving with all humans she has met.

Bugsy would thrive in a home that has a fenced yard where she is the only dog. BUGSY WILL STEAL YOUR HEART!

— Meet CHLOE —

Meet our newest little love bug, Chloe! Isn't she a doll? Reminds us of an adorable little stuffed animal! Chloe is a Shih-Tzu mix, weighing in at just under 10 pounds and is approximately 3 years old.

Chloe's previous owners were no longer able to take care of her. She is house-broken, walks well on a leash, plays nicely with other dogs, and knows how to
sit, stay, and fetch. She would do very well in a home with small children because she’s not aggressive, doesn’t mind being picked up, and put in strange positions plus she enjoys playing with kids. She doesn’t shed and has an incredibly soft coat that is pretty low maintenance. Give her a bone or a toy and she will be fine for a few hours on her own and not destroy anything.

Chloe loves everybody! She is a happy, healthy, adorable little girl who will make an amazing addition to any loving family!

— Meet DOBBY —

Location: Orange County, CA

Dobby is a 1 year old, teeny, tiny sun-worshipper that enjoys running and giving tons of kisses. Dobby is currently with a foster family that includes a Pug dog, two adult cats and two human tweens. Dobby enjoys playing with all of them. He will be a great companion for one or more than one! All he needs is lots of love.

He is learning how to be social on the leash and loves to investigate. He has trouble with holding his urine for long periods (over 4 hours during the day), so he may need access to relieve himself. He enjoys car rides, but wants to be the driver. He will not leave your side and wants to make sure his human is taken care of. He understands "sit" and "come" commands. He is currently crate trained for 4 hours during the day and 8 hours over night. Dobby has nothing but love for anyone he comes in contact with.

— Meet PILOT • Orange County, CA —

Pilot is a very happy, 8-month old love bug. He is good with other dogs and curious but reserved with his foster's bird. He has a good grasp of the doggy door and potty training. He has some urge to chew, but it seems very light for a youngster his age and there hasn’t been any damage to home or furnishings at his foster home. Pilot likes to dig in soft dirt, but has been good with the rock landscaping. He is not a huge barker, and tends to curl up and sleep when left alone, as the other foster's dogs do. He enjoys trying to drink out of the sprinklers and is a sweet, silly character overall. He is excellent with kids, and even accompanied foster to child's school when family did a presentation on fostering for rescue.

Location: Orange County, CA • Min Pin/Chihuahua Mix • Born August 1st

These 5 precious Min Pin/Chihuahua mix pups, born August 1st, are currently being loved and cared for by a wonderful Barks of Love foster parent, but once of age, will be available for adoption as well as Momma! They were rescued from the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA.

We have:
— AGNUS: Black and white female
— BROWNIE: Brown male
— ROTO: Black male. He's the "pistol pup" of the all black males. He fidgets and whines and "wiggle butts" all over, even if you're holding him until he's back, snuggled in with the others.
— REYNA: Black and brown female (has the lighter muzzle)
— ROTELLA: Black and brown female

"Madison is a 15-month old German Shepherd/Lab Mix, born June 2, 2011. Madison is such a beautiful dog, she loves to be outside and really loves water! She gets along with the dogs that we have here at our house and also gets along with the children we have which are ages 4 and 2. She is a wonderful family dog and or guard dog as well. I am not sure how she will get along with other dogs outside of the ones we have her but she has been to a training class and was around 3 other dogs and did great. I want to find her a home with people that can show her more attention then what I and my husband can with our schedules. I don't want to see her go. We are unable to keep Madison due to my husband being in the army and we are due to leave anytime. Unfortunately, we can't take Madison with us - if we could, we would. Madison is like my baby but a dog baby! SHE HAS TWO WEEKS BEFORE SHE WILL NEED TO GO TO THE SHELTER, so please spread the word."
