I recently purchased these three bottles of mead from Munro's Meadery in Ontario.

The plain Mead is on the left, Melomel in the middle and Sweet Mead on the right.

All natural lighting in my kitchen.

Hive Smoker

This is a photo of my beehive smoker. I wanted to test it out before my bees arrive so that I'm ready. There's not much to it. Throw some flamable stuff inside, light it, puff away. This is a "Pro-Bellow" smoker.

You should always wait for the smoke to cool before using it on your bee hive.

Corolla Tribute

Today we dropped off Heather's 1992 Toyota Corolla at the junk yard; sold for scrap metal. Heather inherited this car from her grandfather in 1997 and it's shared many memories with us ever since.

With only 159,000Km on it, she was just a young pup and her engine ran like a dream, but we don't use her anymore, so it's time to say goodbye.

You will be missed old friend.

This is the setup shot for my photo of Evan Williams Honey Reserve. Very simple on my dining room table.

Strobist info: Bottle was placed on a white board. One snooted SB-800 was gelled full CTO behind the bottle and aimed at the wall. Another SB-800 was shot through a diffuser to the left. Voila!

Another shot of Amber at Patrick's studio. I forget the lighting settings I used on this one. I think it was just a softbox camera right as key and another behind and left for rim and hair. I may have actually had a boomed beauty dish above as well.

Styled using Totally Rad Actions and Dirty Pictures.

I did a shoot with Amber a while ago at Patrick's studio. This one one of the better ones for the day.

Strobist info: I believe there was a softbox camera left, a gridded monobloc behind and right and a AlienBees in beauty dish above.

TRA info: pro retouch, yin/yang, high-pass in photoshop and desaturate slightly.

I did this photoshoot for a local steel company several weeks ago. In case you can't tell, this is a photo of a welder.

Strobist info: SB-800 camera right, through an umbrella. Another SB-800 camera left and behind subject, gelled blue to light up steel in background and give a bit of depth to machinery.

TRA info: Selectively dodged/burned using Yin/Yang, Burn-out, then desaturated layer, high-pass and set to Overlay. Finally, desaturated the entire image a bit using a monochrome and slightly blue layer.
