Only taken a very few shots so far. Will probably take a few hundred to get the hang of it and find out how to use it properly.

Brooding cliffs tower over a huddle of red roofed former fishing cottages that spill right down to the edge of the sea, creating a ‘lost in time' getaway.

The principal parish church for Acomb is St Stephen's, a Grade II listed building built in 1831-1832 by G T Andrews on the site of the previous medieval church. Records date from 1662. On 19 December 1992, St Stephen's was nearly destroyed in a fire caused by arson, but was repaired using contributions from the local community and other funds. It was rededicated in September 1994.

A 10 minute walk brings me to this wonderful windmill restored to full glory by The Holgate Windmill Preservation Society.

York Minster from Dean's Park

Dean's Park is to the north side of York Minster. It is one of York's best loved places, with magnificent views of the Minster and is home to the Cathedral Library.

The Orb is an elliptical treasure house of stained glass, showcasing five examples of some of world’s most important medieval art. The stained glass is intimately lit to reveal the craftsmanship and epic stories that make up York Minster’s Great East Window.

St William's College in College Street, York. A medieval timber building, built in 1461. Originally built as a school for the Minster priests it is now used as a restaurant.
