Lots of fog yesterday and yes there is land not too far in the distance from where I'm standing. Although I wouldn't want it every day, I do like to get out in it and see things differently.

The ducks, geese, seagulls to mention a few come over as soon as you come near the water because too many are feeding them despite the signs that suggest you don't feed them.

I just had to meet Joe.....

I have seen Joe in this pose for many years, sitting on his portable stool playing his stop sign while waiting to assist a student crossing Mortimer Avenue.

I had my camera with me and as I approached him I thought I should chat with him so I parked my car and left my camera there for the time being. I went over and we chatted for about ten minutes and there weren't any surprises here. Joe is a retired Social Worker and loves to come out each morning. It gets him out of the house. He LOVES music, you can see the wires in his chest pocket, he took them off when we talked. Joe told me that many motorists wave to him as they are passing by and as he crossed me back to the other side a motorist beeped at him and made the motion for him to play. I explained the 100 Strangers project and asked if I could take his picture and he allowed me. What a wonderful and cheery man Joe is.

Did you notice his stop sign has been worn out by him strumming it all this time?

25/100 Strangers - Diana & Niv

Before I headed out to Mississauga I went down to the beach to catch the sunrise. I started out at the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and ended up hopping in my car and heading much further west along the beach.

From my first spot I saw Diana, the Instructor and Niv, the Student on their paddle boards WAY out there on the water and with my 200 mm lens they were pretty small, I kept my eye on them. I've wanted to do this for a time now so when I noticed them coming in that's when I got in my car and headed near them as I wanted to make inquiries about sessions. It turns out that Diana owns the business and lives right across the street from the beach, pretty convenient. Niv loves to paddle board and has an open ended membership and can get out there anytime he likes.

There is a sunrise capture outing........I think I may have to join in soon, stay tuned, lol.
