Tessa was chosen to represent Orijen on their new website. It's one of the more expensive kibbles on the market, but having only one dog, it's doable for me, and she does very well on it. And while I find it hard these days to trust any brand (of any product), for now I have faith in Orijen and their "absolutely-no-outsourcing" policy. When they had a kitchen malfunction last September, their production dropped to 40% and they chose to go with that and risk losing customers (we had to feed EVO for a while), rather than turning production over to an outside plant.

Tessa will receive a free bag of food of her choice - she chose the 6-Fish - and a bag of their new freeze-dried treats.

I am probably a bit unfair to always post the ones where she catches the frisbee with her paws, kung-fu style. The paws are really just back-up - she knows how to catch with her mouth, too! And then she just takes a walk. Silly dog!

Rhys on the left pointing a bird, Tessa (front) and Dewi on the right honoring. For those who are not familiar, a hunting dog is supposed to stop and stand still the moment he/she sees another dog on point, and not move until told to. It's known as "honoring" or "backing". Some dogs do it naturally, some need to be taught. Tessa was a mix of both.

It's fascinating to watch. Can you imagine a sale at Wal-Mart (say, Black Friday) and we honoring each other? So who's more civilized?
