&lt;p&gt;I bought this idyllic postcard without knowing what it was but a quick Google reveals that it is a scene on the Nice to Monaco line of the &lt;a href=&quot;http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramway_de_Nice_et_du_Littoral&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Tramway de Nice et du Littoral&lt;/a&gt;, closed in 1929.&lt;br /&gt;
