The Louvre Museum, Paris, France.

Between work and being sick, I haven't been out shooting much. I was inspired recently by my brother to take a second look at some of my shots from our Europe trip last year.
This was from outside The Louvre Museum in Paris. There are a lot of beautiful fountains that surround this glass pyramid but unfortunately they were drained and under repair.

I hope everyone is doing well, as always thanks for taking a look......

Campbell Water Tower........

M. Shaw posted a photo:

I have been wanting to get a shot of this tower for some time now, and we finally got some nice clouds rolling through last Friday evening.
I tried several different angles for this shot, and though the 'Campbell' sign is not centered, this was the composition I liked the best.

A little history I found online about the tower......

Benjamin Campbell, the founder of the City of Campbell, along with family, friends and neighbors created the Campbell Water Company in 1892. There were different wooden tanks and pump houses over the years, what survives to this day is a steel tank and tower, and a wood and stucco pump house building.
The water tank — a 75,000 gallon steel tank — was purchased from Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Company in 1928 and installed on a tower, which makes the structure 130 feet tall. The tower was painted a two tone apricot and plum color in 1997 with the letters spelling Campbell added. About ten years later the tower was repainted the current beige color. This color was chosen by a long time resident of Campbell, who remembers the tower used to be a beige color.

Thank you for taking a look.

Eiffel Tower.....Paris, France.
After our stay in London we made our way to Paris. After seeing a lot of amazing photographs from flicker contacts that live in or around Paris I had a pretty good idea of the shots I wanted to come home with, but due to some bad timing many of the places were undergoing maintenance or construction and prevented me from getting the shots I had planned on. So with only three days there, I came up short on my quota. But nobody leaves Paris without a shot or two (or 200) of the Eiffel Tower.........Every hour on the hour the tower glitters with thousands of flashing lights for about five minutes, it is an amazing sight.

On Saturday morning I had just finished taking some shots of the old tide house and before I packed it up, I turned the camera a little to the left, zoomed in and took this shot.
I really didn't think to much about it, mainly because I have seen so many really awesome shots from here, that have been taken from many different angles. But after taking a closer look at it today I was amazed at how quietly all 17 of these Seagulls remained during this 2 minute exposure!

Pebble Beach, CA.

Most shots of this Cypress tree are taken from the road or from down lower on the trail, which in most cases is fine, but after a few test shots I noticed the top of the tree seemed to blend in to much with the hills in the background. I noticed on the other side of the road there was a small flat area up on the hillside that looked big enough to set up a tripod on, so I climbed my way up there and this was the vantage point I had.
I planned on using my 70-200mm lens but realized I forgot to pack the adapter ring for it to hold the ND filters, so I had to use my 24-70mm with a 2x tele-converter.
The Lone Cypress......

Thanks for taking a look.......

Rat Rock Island, San Rafael, California.......

This was a shot I took one evening back in April out at China Camp State Park. I spent a lot of time on trying to process this shot, to the point of way over processing it, and after several tries decided to just set it aside for awhile. I am very new to this style of photography and this style of processing and have come to the realization that I tend to way over think things.
I decided to take another try at it, and did my best to keep it as simple as I could, I ended up being much more pleased with the results........

As always thank you for taking a look, and I appreciate any feedback or comments you might have....
