Ok, so don't be sad about this picture, I'll tell you the story. Starting at 2, and ending at 4.

The guy on the right is Eric, he's a lionhead and we've had him for a couple of years, he was rescued with his partner. His mate died so he's been on his own for a while. As you can see he doesn't take care of himself very well, he always looks scruffy.

Out cycling one day I stopped to take a few snaps, one of those moments where you stop for no reason. Rode past plenty of times - but this time - I felt like stopping. Snapping away I looked around me for something eye-catching, there was a rabbit right next to me munching on grass! That rabbit turned out to be Buddy, the guy on the left.

We didn't know he was a male, we didn't know why he was in the middle of nowhere, we didn't know how long he'd been there, but we did know he was tame and we couldn't leave him. I say we because once I called my wife, his fate was pretty much set - we rescued him. Driving out to find me with a pet carrier in her car, my wife talked him gently into the carrier. Yup, he jumped into the carrier of his own accord.

We eventually realised that Eric and Buddy wouldn't live together without fighting, so we built them separate runs. They alternate between having the garden to play in and often end up sitting next to each other - unless they are running round with their 'wives'. Yes, we had to pair them up with two more females, taking us to four rescued rabbits. The females are a bit shy, but I'll get some photos of them eventually.
