I thought I would end these images with Louize as the model.This is another version of the one I posted a year ago, I think the effects on this one adds more moods of a hopeful future for all! This is the promenade at Portsmouth on the Hampshire coastline in England , Ilford 400asa b/w print film scanned and toned in PS.

I was going through my old images of Charlie and this was one of the last shots that I took of her before she passed away almost two years ago now, that was our old back gate and she always used to look through to be let in.

This beautiful image was taken by Louize on a very unbelievable and very cold and misty morning at Lake Grasmere in the Lake District, Cumbria, England, nothing much more to say but for me this is one of Louize's very best! Please let Louize know what you all think of it!!

P.S> This is real all I have done is to add contrast to parts of this image to bring the colours and highlights out more in PS.

The story behind this image.

Shadow one of our two cats likes jumping up and catching anything that flies and on this occasion he caught this Small Cabbage White Butterfly, then Louize rescued it (that is her hand) called me to have a look then I took this image. I thought this was rather symbolic with the helping hand so to speak hence the title. The sad news was that the butterfly's wing was too badly damage and we think it did not survive but at least we tried.

Same evening as the one posted a few days ago, but slightly later, just goes to show on evening like this every few minutes gives you different scenes! This is the river Thames at Erith, Kent a mile from home!

As you all may know by now this is my favourite type of subject but with all this kind of photos a fair bit of work has to be done in the editing stage to get the exposure right on those rays even when using filters! This was taken in Newquay, Cornwall we were having dinner in the hotel at the time and we could see the happening out of the window and of cause I left that and went out and took this!

I took this building yesterday I had to take two images of this and merge them together in PS because of the size of this place, what attracted me to it was those fabulous blue lines and perspectives! I think those clouds add a super contrast with the straight lines of the building!

I just live around the corner from this building and when I saw that rainbow I knew it would be perfectly placed. I had to take two images of this and merge them together in PS because of the size of this place, with the contrasts between those fabulous blue lines and perspectives with that double rainbow!

This was taken on the beach at Brighton on the south coast of England, about 7.00pm in the evening, a person was walking on the beach so I used the sculpture as a lead-in with the sun in the middle, I was lucky with this shot but one of my top10. taken on Fujichrome sensia 100asa slide film and scanned in PS.

Had a little play with this one I tried to separate the fog from the sky to create contrasts between the red and blue and this is the result !

All these water and cloud reflections were taken over a year ago now on one December morning, I was there for well over an hour I took well over 200 images as the cloud and sun keep changing, the river was very high, never seen it so high and probably never will again!

I have had this idea for a long time now and today was the day, taken in the garden and the two hands are that of Louize holding her arms above her head and putting her hands in the shape of a heart, just love how this has turned out!

This is one of my favourite seasonal landscapes, I took this on Lake Grasmere in the Lake District Cumbria a few years ago back in 2005, the early morning light was ideal for this subject just love those colours! this is the panoramic version of the previous posting!
