hi friends , what is your fave animal , and why?mine has to be the horse, ever since i was little i have always loved them , racing home from school to watch black beauty on television , followed by follyfoot , my first ride on a horse was when i was 15 years old , on a horse like in the photo , called ginger , i can still remember the wobbly start up high in the saddle , gripping on to the reins , smiling at my mum as she was taking a photo of my first ride, i must find that photo and upload it for you to see , this photo was taken at tunisia , whilst on holiday there , i went to see the horses every morning , my dream would be to ride across the beach , but i dont think i will somehow as i am in so much pain , my left side still paralised , so i wont be able to hold the reins , but i suppose it is something to aim for aone thing no one can take the memories away , can they ?
DO YOU KNOW THE FIRST THING I DREW WAS THE HORSE ,hmmm i have an idea , more drawing i think ,

Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara; Gujarati: ફરોખ બલ્સારા‌, Pharōkh Balsārā‌); 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991)[2][3] was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range.[4][5][6] As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Are the Champions". In addition to his work with Queen, he led a solo career, and also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician (piano or vocals) for other artists. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS on 24 November 1991, only one day after publicly acknowledging he had the disease.

Mercury was a Parsi born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens. He has been referred to as "Britain's first Asian rock star".[7] In 2002, Mercury was placed at number 58 in the BBC's poll of the 100 Greatest Britons, in 2006, Time Asia named him one of the most influential Asian heroes of the past 60 years,[8] and he continues to be voted one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. In 2005, a poll organised by Blender and MTV2 saw Mercury voted the greatest male singer of all time.[9] In 2008, Rolling Stone editors ranked him number 1

of course i reconised this one as he played for my fave football team, stoke city many years ago,sir stanleymatthews, iloved the pose expression ,light shadow and colours in this one
Sir Stanley Matthews, CBE (1 February 1915 – 23 February 2000) was an English footballer. Often regarded as one of the greatest players of the English game, he is the only player to have been knighted while still playing, as well as being the first winner of both the European Footballer of the Year and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year awards. Matthews' nicknames included "The Wizard of the Dribble" and "The Magician".

A near-vegetarian teetotaller, he kept fit enough to play at the top level until he was 50 years old. He was also the oldest player ever to play in England's top football division and the oldest player ever to represent the country. He played his final competitive game in 1985, at the age of 70. Matthews was also an inaugural inductee to the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002 to honour his contribution to the English game.[4]

He spent nineteen years with Stoke City, playing for the "Potters" from 1932 to 1947, and again from 1961 to 1965. He helped Stoke to the Second Division title in 1932–33 and 1962–63. In between his two spells at Stoke he spent fourteen years with Blackpool; where he became an FA Cup winner in 1953 (known as the Matthews Final), after he was on the losing side in the 1948 and 1951 finals. Between 1937 and 1957 he won 54 caps for England, playing in the FIFA World Cup in 1950 and 1954, and winning nine British Home Championship titles.

Following an unsuccessful stint as Port Vale's general manager between 1965 and 1968, he travelled around the world, coaching enthusiastic amateurs. Most notable of his coaching experiences came when he established an all-black team in Soweto known as "Stan's Men" – this was despite South Africa's harsh apartheid laws at the time.

but my fave was this one of our queen elizabeth, beenon the throne for 60 years , definately bestof british
Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926[a]) is the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states, known as the Commonwealth realms, and their territories and dependencies, and head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations. She is Supreme Governor of the Church of England and, in some of her realms, carries the title of Defender of the Faith as part of her full title. i share my birthday with her too , 21st april

On her accession on 6 February 1952, Elizabeth became Head of the Commonwealth and queen regnant of seven independent Commonwealth countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Ceylon. From 1956 to 1992, the number of her realms varied as territories gained independence and some realms became republics. At present, in addition to the first four aforementioned countries, Elizabeth is Queen of Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda and Saint Kitts and Nevis. Her reign of 61 years is currently the second longest for a British monarch; only Queen Victoria has reigned longer at over 63 years.

Elizabeth was born in London and educated privately at home. Her father acceded to the throne as George VI in 1936 on the abdication of his brother Edward VIII, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, in which she served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, with whom she has four children: Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward. Her coronation service took place in 1953 and was the first to be televised.

The Queen's many historic visits and meetings include a state visit to the Republic of Ireland and reciprocal visits to and from the Pope. The Queen has seen major constitutional changes in her realms, such as devolution in the United Kingdom and the patriation of the Canadian constitution. Times of personal significance

i was asked which of my photos i have captured would be my fave , of course its and old one because i took it before the stroke , it was pouring with rain as i remember , but i didnt care i went on one of my walks with my camera and spotted this one , was liking the rain water gathered on the petal like a little puddle as well as the raindrops , sorry its an old one but iam ask i must say which one i like as well as it brings back memories of those stroke free days , i have many faves , but this one just beats them tops because of the raindrops , the colour popps too , thankyou for yor wonderful comments , trying to get my head round the new flickr that personally has been force fed us , i dont think its very fair , we should of had a chose old or new? i cant seem to find anything , flickr isnt being very fair to the loyal pro members ,, just to the non members who get an extra gigabite , its bad enough trying to do everything eith one hand , my right because my left is still paralised, just like my legs so i am still fed up sitting in this uncomfortable wheelchair, as for the weather , the sun has gone on holiday i think , which personally i dont blame it , now the rain is here , wind , and abit on the chilly side, feels like autumn to me , seasons gone mad i recon

i was asked which of my photos i have captured would be my fave , of course its and old one because i took it before the stroke , it was pouring with rain as i remember , but i didnt care i went on one of my walks with my camera and spotted this one , was liking the rain water gathered on the petal like a little puddle as well as the raindrops , sorry its an old one but iam ask i must say which one i like as well as it brings back memories of those stroke free days , i have many faves , but this one just beats them tops because of the raindrops , the colour popps too , thankyou for yor wonderful comments , trying to get my head round the new flickr that personally has been force fed us , i dont think its very fair , we should of had a chose old or new? i cant seem to find anything , flickr isnt being very fair to the loyal pro members ,, just to the non members who get an extra gigabite , its bad enough trying to do everything eith one hand , my right because my left is still paralised, just like my legs so i am still fed up sitting in this uncomfortable wheelchair, as for the weather , the sun has gone on holiday i think , which personally i dont blame it , now the rain is here , wind , and abit on the chilly side, feels like autumn to me , seasons gone mad i recon

its a waiting game , which goes with most things in life , like waiting for results , like for me i had my first breast screening the other day , the waiting is a pain , thinking the worse because after a email i got from my mum telling me she had breast cancer and still fighting it 2 and more years ago now but she is a fighter , i think that is where i get it from , she brought two children up on her own likewise so did i , the pansy flower i love , the design , colours and design , so i dedicate this photo to my mum , just to say dont give up the fight , you come along way your family love you with all our hearts xx
i taken this before the stroke sorry its an old one folks just could not post it before as i was in hospitall , hope you understand , happy weekend ok with love xxx
i am now going up to the hospital to do my phisio for this stroke etc , my left side still paralised and still cannot walk , this wheelchair is so uncomfortable to , i enjoy my days watching the birds in the garden , and going through my photography discs and memory sticks, i feel so fustrated though because i want to do more . thankyou friends xxxx

well cant get out to take photos so i was going through some i had taken , this is an old one but it does bring back memories , my cat muppet use to cuddle up besides me for awhile then he would leave me and go outside through the kitchen window to hunt and explore , but he use to catch a mouse and bring it to me as a preasent , either dead or alive , and once brought back a black raven bird , got it through the kitchen window , let it go in the house, so i let it out of the front door, what a little bugger he was though , i do miss him though, i remember once i had to go out for a while , came back and spotted some ginger hairs on my pc chair, they were not muppets as he was black and white , he had only brought one of his female friends in through the kitchen window as well , bless him , i dont have him anymore sadly , as i had to move , he deceided to move across the road to where there was at least six females , the owners didnt mind at all , so that was the last time really i saw him , but this particulary day he spotted me in the front garden , and he wandered across the road with a smaller cat , which looked like him when i first had him as a kitten , so he was showing his son how to fend for himself in the big world , he loved the odd chicken wing and thankfully had a couple from the night before , so went inside and got them , one each , and they both stripped it to the bones, muppet use to eat the bones as well , definately no mess or left overs with him , also while i am thinking about him i use to go to the garage shop daily , and believe it or not , muppet was walking with me all the way and back again , then he just went on his way with his son in tow , a tear appeared in my eyes seeing him and remembering him like i did , presious memories in photos , i hope you like this photo ?sorry old one , hope to put some up very soon , thankyou for the lovely comments so far , love ya xxxx

well i really dont know what flickr is doing , i thought this says it all , flickrs fallen , suppose we have to get on with it , but i wont be reviewing my pro account until it goes back to the old way , its bad enough trying to do it with just one working arm , as my left is still paralised because of the stroke , and that i am paticially sighted as well , so i cannot see very well any way , but i am trying hard to post this and type a description as well . i captured this with my little nikon coolpix from my wheelchair, loved the contrast against the grass and slab , just liked it , the way the wind just blew the leaf and it landed just there
nice shadows too i though ,

sorry folks , i just havent been out to photos lately , because i am still not feeling very well at all , to cheer me up one of my carers stacey treated me to one of those new teasers chocolate bar , they are ok but , to me i think anyone could make one from melted chocolate and broken up maltesers mixed in , mmmm making myself ddribble now , i love chocolate too , but i think my fave has to be cheese , like a good bit of stilton and the softer brie, for my sandwhiches, i have to be careful what i eat because i have ib s(irritable bowe syndrome as well, as if one sympyton isnt enough , but suppose i have to try and live with both .but good news i have to see the phisio soon , where i have to have botox in my left arm and ankle to try and remove the stiffness, i wont hold my breath because it didnt work lastime , if it stops the constant spasms in them i will be abit happier , i got a great team of carers that come in to me daily , still makes me feel useless though , that i should be doing it myself , not relying on others and that i just makes me feel so sad and depressed, sorry folks but i do know that flickr keeps me going daily ,
