In the heart of Amish country in southwestern Indiana, you see these signs everywhere. Thankfully, it was a low-traffic day and there was nary a buggy in sight. Image enhanced by a cloud texture from Lenabem.

With the stairway gone, this side entrance to an old bank in Bicknell, Indiana seems pretty secure. I doubt they even need to lock that door.

Two things struck me as funny in this photo of an old bank building in Bicknell, Indiana. One, it seemed that all the birds seemed to be standing guard (and I can just imagine what kind of ammunition they would drop). And two, isn't it convenient to label the Burglar Alarm box, so any would-be burglars would know where to disconnect it?

A gorgeous sunrise followed our rare desert snowstorm of the day before. This normally gray rock glowed red from the sun, providing a nice backdrop to the snowy saguaro cactus.

In a break of our rare snowstorm in the desert, my 96-year-old neighbor walked over to my house with daffodils to brighten my day. She is a sweetheart.
