Crayola Lincoln Logs

This picture was taken kind of as a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was setting up the crayons in the background for a different picture, and a friend of mine came into the lounge and started to build the "lincoln log" crayon tower that you see here. I liked the way that everything looked from this angle - so here's a picture :-)

I think that this is one of the most visually interesting pictures that I have ever taken. I am very pleased with the way that it turned out.

Clear Fork Reservoir: Feet On Bridge

I took a risk and purchased a Nikon 55-200 VR lens on eBay from a seller with a rating of 0. Got a great deal on it, but wasn't sure that it would actually arrive or if it would be in the condition it was advertised to be in. After two weeks of anxiously checking the mail each day, I awoke to find a small brown box sitting on my front step. The lens looked to be in great condition (just as eBay seller said it was).

This shoot was at the Clear Fork Reservoir in Sunny Mansfield, Ohio. This was my first time taking this lens out for a stroll. Turns out it works perfectly! I am very pleased.

This photo was taken on the bridge. I used my other lens as a stand-in for my feet while I got this shot set up. Using the self-timer, I ran into place and got set for this photo.

Normally I take at least two or three shots of every shot, so that I have a few to choose from in picking my final image - but in this case, I only took one. This was it.

No cropping was done in post-production, though I did obviously do a bit of a color effect with the fade from grayscale to full color.
