This orange pedestrian bridge crosses Bow Trail in Calgary's Southwest. It provided a stellar vantage point for our long exposure shots of the moving cars and LRT.

Here is the other direction 30 minutes later as the Sun is long gone and Twilight is in full effect.

Though this photo was taken with my 14-24mm f/2.8 lens, so I could grab as much big blue sky and road as possible. You can actually see a couple stars in the left corner of the image.

Went for a shoot with a couple photog buddies last night. The sky was a tad hazy, but we got some great shots and the weather co-operated.

This is facing East, looking down Bow Trail that winds it's way into the downtown core.

A closer look into the Calgary skyline. The large cloudy backdrop blocked the pinks and reds seen during most Sunsets, however the atmosphere it provides, is worth the lack of vibrant colours.

Went for a skyline shoot with a friend tonight and the weather was calm and mostly clear.
The long stretch of clouds in the background made it a bit more appealing too.

I like how the tallest structures gradually get smaller in this perspective and section of the Calgary Skyline at night. The giant glass wall in the foreground, is the backside of the Calgary Municipal Building.

Another big panorama of Calgary, this was taken just after the sunset.
The blue overcast clouds made for some interesting blue lighting.

Hmmm, do I photograph the Bow too much? Probably. ;)

This was taken last week when I was going to take some night shots, but forgot the plate that connects my camera to the tripod head. Needless to say I wasn't very impressed when I went to setup my tripod for some urban night shots... I ended up just turning around and going home.

The combination of a calm night, vibrant blues and lights shining brightly from Downtown made this twilight capture possible. I'm quite happy with the D800's performance at night too.

This is the view from my friends place that I visited last night, I never get tired of this urban view.

A dark silhouetted view of the iconic Mount Cascade looking tall over the town of Banff just after sunset. It's amazing how different the sky is, all I did was turn around and wait an extra 20 minutes. :)
