We had slept outdoors that night, just to check if we'd die. We kind of didn't. :D Cold as fuck though. (No sleeping bags - I bought one a couple of months later, soooooooo...!)

We'd talked about taking the train from Brighton into the countryside to find some cute meadow. Glynde had looked nice from the train. It was dark when we got there, so we figured we'd just sleep on the platform. (Less hardcore than a meadow, but, uh, let's start out easy...)

However... At the station "we" happened to meet some guy who said we could crash at his place if his wife would allow it. Turned out she wouldn't, so he showed us a peaceful playground lawn instead. (And he figured that sleeping in the station would be illegal, but that no one would check. :)

The lawn was next to a fog-spewing creek, which probably didn't help against the terrible cold - when we got back to the station in the morning, it felt slightly warmer... :B At least I got some all right morning mist shots. :D

We returned to Brighton, died of sleep deprivation in a park, and checked into a hostel for the next night. :B

PS. May 28, 2012 = exactly 10 years after my high school graduation!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I was on my way from Budapest to Bucharest, whence I'd continue to Istanbul. JUST SO I COULD SAY I HAD STEPPED ON ASIA. :)

Sun came up at 8.52 am, I left home around 7 (YAY 3-4 H OF SLEEP) and reached the shooting-spot at 8. :p Luckily it wasn't supercold.
At first it looked like the sunrise would be beige and boring. Not that I was gonna be picky on the speshul day. But it got better. Here is the first part, looking like a forest fire. :)

I also shot the first sunrise of 2010...

If I ever realize my vague plan of hoboing around North America on Greyhound buses, I'd like to stop by for a while (maybe for a week of chilling after the exhausting bus-ridin). Anyone know any decent hostels? :D

Awesome shit about Fort Lauderdale (in no particular order):

- Standing in huge schools of wee fish near the beach
- Pelicans diving from space into said schools, right next to us!!!!!!!!!
- Lizards
- Parrots
- Palm trees
- Water so warm that even I didn't hesitate to get in
- No jellyfish, unlike at home
- Coarse sand, so the water was clear
- Big waves
- Hot as fuck (even at night. And during the days, I burned my skin badly, but... apart from that looming cancer bomb... ehe...)
- Amazing and frequent thunder
- Heavy rain
- ......... The way we missed the hurricane season
