Dungeon Throne On Black?

This was the shoot that was supposed to happen last money. We managed to squeeze it in on friday night and lucky we did because the rain soon returned over the weekend. Anywho... This is Dexion. Not only is she a pretty talented model but she's also an MUA and a designer. I watched her put together her outfit pretty much from scratch. The night scene doesnt do justice to the amount of detail and thought she put into it. Was a great shoot. Got some nice shots.. Will be shooting with her again asap.

Dirty Kill On Black?

Another. I'm looking into getting (or making) a beauty dish in the near future cuz I'm
growing bored of the ~~flat~~ somewhat dull light my umbrellas provide. Any suggestions? I've seen some good tutorials out there on how to make one but havent had a chance to try any. Ill be needing a new bag too because my Compuday backpack is already filled to the max. Decisions decisions!

Schoolgirl On Black?

Fun day. About 2 weeks ago I was informed that Sarah's best friend wanted to make her boyfriend a sexy calendar for his birthday. Guess who was chosen to get the shots lol.. This will be the shot for her schoolgirl look. I think this project is going to be very fun and helpful for me because every shot will be a diff theme. It's always good to flex the ol imagination muscle. We already have a few more concepts in mind but for sure this will be a tedious process. 1 down, 11 to go!

Batter On Black?

My brother wanted some pictures of himself that he could be proud of so I took the opportunity to get some practice in. We headed over to AT&T Park to snap a couple. Unfortunately the stadium wasnt lit and the clouds were coming in fast so it was too late to make it a real part of the shot. Oh well.. I'm pretty fond of this shot though. If you noticed the pictures looks different than it did a few days ago thats because I remixed it as an HDR and like it much better. The flares didnt work out has I entended but its all good. What say you Flickr?

Temptation On Black?

This is it. Everything prior to this moment—all pasts hopes and failures become insignificant. It approaches... slowly, unclear on to what to expect. How will she react? Will she scream? Run? More importantly it ponders its own reaction. Will it give in to its predatorily instincts? Is this just another vain attempt to be something it is not? Or will it prove strong enough to control the beast in order to understand this new and strange desire? This much is not clear. But what is clear is no matter the outcome, nothing will ever be the same again. It has changed… It has evolved.

Well that was fun... Its a good feeling when you go out not exactly sure what to expect and end up with some halfway decent shots. This was all totally random.. Wasnt sure if the idea of a "creature" was even good but it was an idea and I ran with it. Sarah was a great sport for playing along seeing as shes extremely camera shy. While editing this series I couldnt help but see a story so I tried my hand at ~~writing~~ one (rubbish, I know). Hopefully it was enjoyable. If so I may try my hand at another story series in the future.

Ambush On Black?

Having been drained of its desire by failed attempts at normalcy, it gives up on society. Time stands still as there is no longer a cause driving its existence. Then when all seems lost, it stumbles onto something new. It struggles to understand this new desire, but before a conclusion can be reached instinct takes over. This new hunger is too alluring to resist and so -- the hunt begins.

Sorrow On Black?

It is a creature of the night unable to show itself in public during day. People see It and react with fear and misunderstanding. It may look different, but It has feelings just as we do. It wonders just as we wonder. And It seeks acceptance just as we seek acceptance. Life's difficult enough without being different. When will we realize that we share so much in common with other beings? No matter how different they may look on the outside.

I was supposed to shoot this past friday but some unforeseen events took place so its been moved to this coming friday. In the mean time, here is one last shot from my shoot with Dexion a few months ago. We are in talks for another shoot soon so there will be more of it in no time hopefully. :)

Whiteout On Black?

Long boring story shot... Got bored. A mental image of a gang of flashes setting an umbrella on fire flashed through my head. Decided mount 4 flashes to 1 umbrella and fire them. No fire :(
