You can just make out the village of Castleton (famous for its Blue John mines) the other side of the valley floor. Also just above my wifes head is Peveril Castle overlooking the village.

Easter Sunday and a well earned day off work saw an early start to the day. A 50 mile drive from our house and the change in scenery is spectacular. Starting with a short but steep walk upto the trig point and a ridge walk with beautiful views over Hope Valley one side and Edale on the other. -8 on the thermometer when we arrived at 0640 and reaching a balmy +2 when the sun came out. With a shopping stop in Bakewell on the way home and a pleasent drive through Matlock Bath not to mention a SD card full of new memorys, A great day was had ;-)
