An Austin landmark for a couple of decades.

This has been here since 1993 (I always thought it was older). When the record store that had it done went out of business there was a big deal about the new owners keeping it when they renovated the place in 2004. You can see where they cleaned up the graffiti.

You can even buy a shirt with this on it. :)

Decided to head downtown to 6th Street tonight to see some live blues and drink beer.. Saw lots of geeks wearing SXSWi passes too. :)

This guy was jamming on the sidewalk on 6th Street, and he didn't sound too bad either. I think I ended up tipping 3 or 4 different street musicians while walking around downtown tonight. Good times.

Saw this really great little blues trio at the Chuggin' Monkey on 6th Street tonight. Cream and Hendrix made the trio thing work, and these guys do too. They were pretty friggin' badass, especially the guitarist. Hendrix, SRV, and other blues stuff, guitar tone was amazing, good times. :)

The only bad part was the bass player seemed to have an awful time tuning up in between songs. He played well enough though.

This cat was jamming on a 5 gallon bucket with some drum sticks as I was walking over to the bus stop. I gave him a buck to let me take his photo, and a cigarette too since he asked.

3rd Street in Austin, Texas. The Austonian high-rise condo building is nearing completion on the left and is now the tallest building in Austin.

The Block 21 Residences / W Hotel is under construction a block or two down the street pictured on the right.

Andrea and I took this from the pedestrian bridge near Lamar and Riverside across the water from downtown. I love looking at the Austin skyline at night from here. :)

We went to the the farmers market in downtown Austin at 4th Street & Guadalupe after we left the one in Sunset Valley closer to home.

Aimee Bobruk was playing and singing. I think she might be the sister of Erin Bobruk, who modeled a shirt I sell a couple of years ago.

Andrea was once a vegan, and still likes to cook that way sometimes, so she took a photo of the “Happy Vegan Baker” booth. I'm a baker / bread maker too, but I'm not vegan (yet). :)
