Inside the abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House.

The center with an open roof looks like some kind of graffiti museum with tags and spray cans all over the place. I sometimes heard noise from the upper floor which you can see on the shot above. Once I got up there it turned out to be cats.

The abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House, seen from the Great Highway, next to the Ocean Pacific in San Francisco.

I spent 30 minutes surrounding the perimeter, looking for the best point of entrance.

Even though rule no. 1 is to never go into places like this all by yourself, I went in there alone.

This is one of the 4 restrooms I've discovered during my 2 hour stay in the abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House at the Ocean Pacific in San Francisco.

The whole place - every wall, every door, the floor and the ceiling are covered with tags and graffitis.

Straight ahead is the staircase to the basement which was pitch black. Being in there all alone felt pretty "wrong" and the occasional voices from the Zoo parking lot nearby freaked me out.

One of the many hallways inside the abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House which is vast with a couple of floors and plenty of rooms.

The pool house which was used by bathers at the pool remains on its original site today in ruins.

This is pretty much the first you will see once you slip in through a window - the only way in and out.
The hallway to the rest of the vast building is to the left.

I have no clue what this room was used for back then. The whole building is pretty vast and has plenty of rooms, locker rooms, bathrooms et cetera.

Stairs to the 1st floor. Every step made the floor crack and I had to be extremely careful not to break through.

Since this was the way back to the exit, imagine I had to run that way for some reason ...

Even though the whole place has been cleanded up recently, there still is lots of debris and trash on the floors.

The abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House now harbors a variety of homeless and sometimes drug addicts.

This is the upper floor. Every step made the wooden floor crack and there were (stolen) handbags all over the place.

Even though I'd never suggest that, I went in there all by myself. I got into this room after spending about 2 hours in the Pool House. The fact that there were sleeping places gave me chills and made me leave the building as soon as possible.

The hallway of the abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House next to the San Francisco Zoo.

There is some light getting through the various cracks in the roof. Most of the place though remains pretty dark.

The hallway is close to the broken window which is the point of entrance. I have been there all by myself - you probably can imagine how I felt wandering around these graffiti-covered ruins.

In the middle of the abandoned Fleishhacker Pool House is a vast open room with a ramp up to the 2nd floor.

The whole area is covered with graffiti. Empty cans are all over the place.
