All I want for Christmas....

Born 2 Be Mild ~ posted a photo:

Lexi looked out the window and saw no snow falling from the sky… no carolers walking along the streets, voices ringing through the air sending promises of good things to come any day now… She was starting to feel a heaviness cloud her otherwise cheerful outlook on life…… What was this world coming too? She thought to herself.

You see Lexi had always had a spot on the family sofa, a spot she could call her own. That spot had been prepared by her Mommy. There had always been a big fluffy pillow and a warm blanket set up on the left side of the sofa. Mom and Dad always made a big deal and would tell her to get to “her place” when she was on any other furniture so when she got home from the “Spa” that afternoon and there was no pillow, no blanket,... no PLACE to call her own... she was afraid she did not belong anymore.

Sitting awkwardly on the arm of the sofa, gazing into the gray, bleak afternoon Lexi began to think of Christmas, and how children all over were looking forward to Santa coming and bringing them a special gift…and Lexi thought …. “All I want for Christmas is a warm place I can call my own”…..

Lexi knows she is NOT to be on the furniture without a blanket but the draw of what could be lurking outside the window forced her to 'break the rules' ... she looked so funny straddled over the arm of the sofa and since she had just gotten home from her day at the "spa" I thought I would grab a shot of her before I told her to get her woo woo off the furniture! so I could put a freshly laundered "place" out for her.

Merry Christmas everyone

The Woo Woo story FYI.. for all those who are wondering ...

Woo Woo is the term for her Woo Woo... plain and simple... as a little girl she would not let the snow touch it, she was so careful to drop 'just the right distance to protect it from possible contact while doing her business... I use to laugh and say things like "woo I bet that is chilly, huh Lexi? " thus the "Woo Woo" LOL
