Good Old Flickr is Dead

Looking into the past, it looks like flickr did not really care what people were saying about their changes, the auto pilot was on and they were publishing one update after another. At that time the changes were quite minor and I thought "mehh, I could live with that", but this time, they gone to the whole new level of craziness. This time, they changed well polished, minimalistic design and created horrid looking one with awful UI...
I wont lie to myself, I know that it is a big company behind and they don't really care what some of us are saying, nor I can dream that they will change the design back to the old one, but when people will start migrating and abandoning their acc and the number of pro acc will fall, they probably will thing twice before launching future updates (I hope so).

In addition: Some of us would not like to publish high resolution photographs freely on the internet, every so often low resolution photos are stolen or posted without photographer's permission, so why should we post higher resolution photos to make the theft easier? Posting high resolution photos is uncomfortable, but with the new flickr design, small photos now looks terrible, so what should we do then, I see no options here. Though it would be nice little option if we could change the background ether to white or black sometimes, small photos would be looking a bit better.

It makes me sad, I have more to say, but I don't see anyone wishing to read long texts of me whining here. If flickr do not realize their screwup this time, I will be migrating away from Flickr. It was a good ride when it lasted.

Using this illustration I wanted to say that the good old flickr we will remember is dead by now and it makes me sad. Furthermore flickr officials do not even care what we are saying.

Say Hello to My New Toys! ;)

This is a first portrait of my new 85mm planar, shot with 50mm 1.4 ZE version.

Just yesterday I received a parcel from a photo store with 85mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.4 from Zeiss
As I expected both entirely metal lens are extremely precise, the high grade metal work feels like it would perform flawlessly forever. Even the lens hoods are made from metal and included retro-looking lens cap beautifully finishes the appearance. I must admit that all Zeiss ZE lens are MF only. Although the ZE version has a build in CPU that communicates with your camera body for the aperture, exposure and the MF is very smooth and precise because the focus ring rotates 270° with a distance rate from 45cm to infinity. These Zeiss lenses were made by Cosina in Japan, the same people who have been making third-party lenses for companies like Vivitar for many decades.
Expect more photos in near future. :)
