I've never had traditional pho, so I can only guess at what I'm missing, but this was pretty good. I'll write up the recipe as I tweaked it one of these days.

Corn soup with poblanos and yellow summer squash; whole wheat quesadilla with cheddar, tomato, and scallion

Everything's local, except the poblanos and the tortillas. The corn was phenomenally sweet -- like nothing I had ever tasted before. Next year: growing chiles, for sure.

Dan's been talking about making tortillas for months now, but I have yet to see any follow-through on his empty promises.
