Well since the one in the foreground is mine I may be a touch biased - had a great day out with my bike at the Bristol Italian Auto Festival though and, weather permitting will return next year.

365: 2012 Day 366

Note

I had thought about fireworks and the like but the note shot is missing from my 365 and this one is rather fitting.

There have been times when I didn't think I'd make it but but thanks to the encouraging words and inspiration afforded to me by you I'm so glad I did. Not only have I learnt a lot about photography but I've also learned about myself and about you and your lives and that is not something I had envisioned from the outset. I'm very much looking forward to what the future holds, both photographically and in general, and I'm especially looking forward to continuing to learn from you and to enjoying your photos. Happy Nw Year Flickrettes!

Cherry Pickers

It was a dull grey day but the sight of all these cherry pickers, presumably back in store for Xmas, caught my eye. I was a little drawn to the bright colours so converted to bnw to help emphasise the shapes

Seasoned Salt

This is my first batch of seasoned salt to a little twist to my cooking. Its a blend of Maldon Salt, Fennel Seeds, White Pepper, Black Onion Seeds, Celery Salt and Cumin Seeds. There is no recipe other than what I fancied but it seems to work rather well.

Daughter

I seldom take shots of people and with the year rapidly running out I thought I'd rope my daughter in to help me out. We had just been feeding the ducks and I called her over to where I was standing and by the momentary look on her face I think she thought she may have been in trouble!

Shell on Beach

I was having a stroll on Bournemouth beach and spotted a pretty shell on the shore and decided to try a longish exposure with the water passing over it.
