Took a moment this morning to take two or three shots on the yard... I've taken a lot of shots of these flowers; but so far I'd liked none... This one came out ok, I think, so I decided to post it... I think the intense pink color makes it a bit hard to expose correctly... Comments and feedback are of course welcomed...

This is another miniature rose... It is probably about an inch wide when completely open...

This is my favorite gerbera from our backyard. It is pink; and the petals have a thin white edge... I thought it would be nice to shoot it from this angle, as the focus is mostly on the petals, and the way they fan out...

As I updated on the previous photo; I am happy to say that the situations that influenced my decision of leaving flickr have been resolved... Therefore I will remain active in this community..

Thanks to everyone for the comments and words of support posted on the previous photo... It meant a lot..

The Bird in the Flower

This is a macro of the center of an orchid. When I first saw this photo, it looked to me like a bird; but thought I may be loosing my mind... Then my daughter came by, and said "doesn't that look like a bird?"; and that is when I was convinced it did...

So I would like to dedicate this photo to my daughter Fabiola... She inspired me to publish it; and just like my wife and son is a big supporter of my photography hobby...
