Took this shot last evening, the lake was fairly calm at times and then would get quite ripply suddenly, but managed a few shots of a calm scene as the sun had set at this point.

Birmingham Canal Life

I have finally got around to going through some more of my shots from Birmingham taken earlier this year, I liked the lead in lines and the reflections provided by an absolutely still canal, with some blue sky (which we haven't seen much of since!)

I went to Inistioge in Co Kilkenny at the weekend, this is a shot of a 10 span 18th Century Bridge, the area can be traced back to the Vikings as the first settlers. Also some of the film Circle of Friends was also made in Inistioge, a lovely little village untouched by time in many ways.

Evening Light at Bluebell Wood

Took another trip to the Bluebells this evening, after all the rain and wind we had last night I do not think they will last that much longer, so got a few shots, the sun kept breaking through the clouds and helped to provide some interesting patterns in the image.

Wild Garlic at Ross Island

I can only describe this as a field of wild garlic that was growing profusely all over Library Point on Ross island, the smell of garlic was really strong and the weather was so changeable, sunshine and showers constantly.

Wild garlic at Ross island

Went to Ross Island this morning where the wild garlic was beautiful although the smell of garlic was very strong, weather very variable, sunshine and showers all morning, but worth going there.

Peace and Tranquility

Felt I had to post this version as it was so peaceful at the time I took the shot, taken approximately 40 minutes after the previous post. The lake had virtually become like a mirror except in the far distance in front of Shehy mountain.

Another bluebell image taken this morning, very overcast day and misty rain, but the sun broke through the cloud after a while, a lot of the bluebells have been trampled on at this stage, which is a great pity as they are still not quite at their best yet.
