This gentleman served aboard this SS Jeremiah O'Brien many decades ago. He's been hired as a technical / historical consultant and is currently tasked with restoring the ships engine room. I was allowed to descend into the bowels of the ship and down into the engine room where I ran into Mr. Bruce J. Reilly as he painted various sections of the Jeremiah O'Brien engines. He shared untold stories of his service aboard this ship, facts about the ships World War II past as well as allowing me to take several photos.
