The Eurostar Woes

Just got back from the south of France a couple days ago after a week there, but the journery back didn't go according to plan;

After travelling from Montpellier to Paris via the old smelly TGV and then taking the Eurostar back to England, but while passing Calais, an explosion in the tunnel cause by a lorry in a freight train suddenly halt the entire journery before even reacting the tunnel, after waiting for age in the train, we were given the option to either go back to Paris or continued on back to Blighty the same way our great grandfathers did in Dunkirk; by boats.

Shouldn't be that much of a problem, but upon arriving to the ferry terminal to get the ticket, there's a fucklong queue of about 400 people trying desperately to book the ticket and adding to injury there's only one lady in the P&O ferry ticket office doing all the booking. Queuing is a fucking nightmare because not only the English people were there but also people from other nationality which ultimately cock-up the whole queuing process and it resemblance a swarm of bees trying to get pollute from a single flower. It took me and Leonie four hours standing up trying to get through to the ticket booth and just about managed to get the very last ticket before the booth closed for the night at 10pm.

The rest of the journery went on without a single problem while going back to London.

It took me a while to realise she wanted candy floss when she asked me. On a serious note thought that 'cotton candy' is fucking delicious (the English she learnt was the American English and not the British English).

A lots of people would think this is an ugly building, but I find it rather beautiful, Brutalism at it's finest, the simple cold concerte exterior, the rawness of it, the unpretentious appearance, it's defintely my favourite kind of architect. It's such a shame that there's so many beautiful Brutalist building that has been knocked down, like the Gatehead Car Park that's at risk of being demolition, if only people have open their eyes a little bit to appreciate the difference perspective of the 1970's Brutalist architect, then half of the building wouldn't have disappear.

Finishing The Brief

That was the most stressful night ever, Leonie is painstakingly finishing off her project in time for Friday morning to be handed in at 11am, she need to observe a particular sign system in a specific location, measure, observe and classify the signs in their particular environment, how frequently each of the signs appears, map the position of these signs out in relations to each other and around the location you've chosen, and then create a representation of the information you've found out.

I don't even know how to explain these in layman's term, we both hasn't slept (she's doing all the work, I just make the teas), suddenly it's 5am and the fucking A3 printer has ran out of ink, which cause her to go into a S.O.M. (Stress Overdrive Mode), we decided to rest till 8am and start calling places to print out an A1 quickly before 11am, some of them said no, so I borrow her Brompton and end up cycling around Camden to each possible places that might prints it out in no time, only managed to find that Bloomsbury Snappy Snaps will do it without hesitation but too expensive to considered, finally PC World at Tottenham Court Road open at 9am and by some miracle they actually do stock the rare ink that she needed to print out her brief, and only cost a mere £10 each ink (the CMY kind).

She managed to hand it in at 11am and the teacher immeditally loved it, for her it's well worth it especially when half the student didn't even appear and the quality she gave it to.

I and Leonie went down to the Jean Prouvé exhibition in the Design Museum (admittedly, any new exhibition there is more than enough to make us go back to the Design Museum anyway), and it was rather interesting it has to be said, what striking is the design and architect of his DIY housing and such and still remand an awe strike modern design that wouldn't look out of place nowadays.

If you have some free times, worth going there, and if you don't like it, just go to the bloody shop and shop yourself silly.

Unlike lomokev, I did not use a measuring stick to calculate the distance in order to get a perfectly focused shot, it's all guesswork for me, quicker and easier really, even if that mean you'll have the occasional out-of-focus shot in one rolls.

My knee got in the way cause I can't exactly stop pedaling as the bike is a fixed wheel one.

Uniqlo got some cheap and great looking shirt from the UT T-shirt Collection, unfortunately, when I brought one that's XS (the one that actually fit me nicely), they end up shrinking after washing them a couple of time that I end up looking like a bum boy straight off Admiral Duncan in Soho, bloody annoying.

Now S is the perfect size for me, after being in the washing machine a couple of times of course, at least American Apparel doesn't shrink in the wash, and they're cheaper despite not having anything on the shirt.

The Pancake Crimp Song from the Boosh. Is it me or is The Mighty Boosh 3 isn't as great as the 1st and 2nd series? it seemed like they're using the same old material as Boosh 1 and 2, especially the crimp which remarkly sound the same as the previous one in Boosh 1 and 2 (case in study; the Eels Song sound very much like the Tundra Song)

I think they got lazier in Boosh 3, such a shame, they were cracking in 1 and 2, especially 2.

I was 16-ish stones last year (230 pounds), However after receiving glandular fever back in the summer, I lost a stones (14lb), which consequently encouraged me to lose another 3 stones (42lb) to get back to my normal weight (12 and a half stones,172lb again for the American who has no idea what's a stone is).

The irony is that I'm fitter than I was at school, and I was the fastest boy in my years.
