Weird hazy sunsets in Whitstable the last few nights.

My 60D didn't cope with the diffracted brightness of the sun very well - maybe should have used film tonight.. oh well.

Whoa, where did these colours come from? Reala picked up blue and purple (shots taken at the same time with a different camera), Superia decided it was red...!

Accidental double exposures - the first time I put a film in the Chaika 3 I didn't think it had wound on properly, So, I took it out again and put it back on the shelf. At some point later I must have put this film into my Yashica Minister II and shot the roll - turns out that some of the Chaika shots did actually work, so what we have here is a weird juxtaposition of the St Pancras area of London and Blakeney in Norfolk!

The roof here is the new bit of St Pancras station.

I combined some of the stills I took on the night to create this image - it's the first time I've tried anything like this. I'm amazed at how the stars are different colours, although that could be down to processing artefacts, but I think in future I'd do it for a longer period of time in one place.

(Not) Perseid meteor [see comment below] seen from Whitstable Beach. Long exposure, converted to black and white and contrast increased.

"Bleach bypass" is, as might be obvious, when you develop the film as colour, but leave out the bleach step. You get subdued colours but in this case (possibly by using cheap expired film) I seem to have managed quite an antique feel as well.

Not sure if those marks are on the negative due to some kind of developing mistake, or some kind of scanning artefact - they add to the "antique" feel so I've left them in deliberately. The streak across the bottom is a smeared fingerprint - whoops :)
