We're finally experiencing some nice weather in Britain, and thanks to "study leave" I can go out and enjoy it!

I've always wondered how to edit photos like this - y'know, where some of it's in black and white and some of it's in colour... Well, I Google'd it, and as it turns out, you don't even need a fancy editing program to do it. I was told to use Photoshop, but I discovered for myself it can be done on Paint.NET after I couldn't figure it out on photoscape. It's fairly simple actually:

- Open the file you want to edit.
- Click the 'Layers' tab and click 'Duplicate Layer'.
- Click the 'Adjustments' tab and click on 'Hue / Saturation'. Drag both bars to the far left (this should leave your image in black and white).
- Select the eraser and rub out wherever you want the colour to be! The image will be 'flattened' when you save it.

Friday 24th May was my last day of school followed by my prom. I still have a few exams to go, but at least I can only go in for the lessons I like now. Once I've finished my GCSEs I will be doing my A Levels (including photography!) at the same school although I won't have to wear the uniform any more.

The shirt is my old school shirt and the balloon is from the prom.

This was, and probably still is, a very poor shot. I took it out of my bedroom window on full zoom. I edited it and saved the edit. When I set it as my computer background, my computer cropped it. It reminded me of Vice City (A.K.A Miami in the 80s) and so I made and saved a cropped version.
