And last but not least, the final car on the 20th Century Limited consist: Hickory Creek. Interestingly on the information booklet with information about everything on display, it said that this iconic car was presented by none other than Star Trek, Inc. Go figure.

The Ohio River was a sleeper-observation lounge built in 1926 by the Pullman Company. Part of the Parade of Trains commemorating Grand Central's 100th anniversary.

Built in 1948 for use on the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad's Wisconsin train, this car was one of the pieces on display for the Parade of Trains this weekend.

This might be a better picture of it. It was one of the many quality examples of railroading on display in Grand Central Terminal for National Train Day/Parade of Trains commemorating Grand Central's 100th anniversary.

This is based off of a picture that I took while on vacation in New Zealand (see previous picture). Just outside of Corning, New York, the Norfolk Southern Central of Georgia heritage unit is running lite past a local lumber distributor as a snow storm begins to move in. It is heading to more westerly parts of NY to pick up some interchange cars from the Western New York and Pennsylvania, where it will continue on to Rochester.
Finally, I have a scene for a miniature engine to live in! :)

I just realized that I never got around to uploading these. I was able to build four mini pieces of rolling stock to go along with my locomotives. There's a TTX bulkhead flatcar, a Conrail covered hopper, and two boxcars.

BNSF 5082 and Warbonnet 747 charge through downtown Downers Grove northbound to Chicago pulling a train that you could barely call mixed freight: one BNSF boxcar and 79 brand new tanker cars. I wish the sun would come out around here.
