2 months missing...no more

So a little over two months ago one of our two cats disappeared. We had just moved to our new home on the other side of the country..from a quiet little island to the city. We are living a bit outside so it is pretty calm and safe here as well for the cats. And everything went well for about a week...then one day the oldest cat didn't come home. Now, I've had cats all my life, so I know they can disappear a few days...especially when they want to explore a bit. But then a week went by and she hadn't come home. We had already put up flyers and went out looking everyday...but as time went on our hopes sank. And a about a month after we pretty much thought that was it. The weather was very cold, staying steady around -20 and we had not seen or heard anything. But somewhere in the back of my mind, there was this little stubborn bit that just wouldn't quite give up hope..after all..I've had this cat for 6 years..I know how smart she is and how good a hunter she is. And so now another month went by..and finally that last stubborn bit of me had to face the facts. She's gone..after two months in -20 and no signs it's over. And so me and my girlfriend slowly started considering getting a kitten..to keep the cat we had left company..After all she had always been used to the company of other cats and after her mother disappeared show was quite lonely. But we decided to wait a bit until we had some time off when we got a new cat. So that we could keep an eye on everything and make sure it went ok.

And then..today..after work..i left the kitchen window open to let in some fresh air.
I hear the cat we have left jump up and out, as she usually does when I leave it open. A little while after I hear her jump back up and in....and then I hear the meows..and it's not the meows of our remaining cat..but it's the meows of the cat that disappeared..I turn around..and there she is..walking towards me, purring and meowing...smaller and a quite skinny..but otherwise in good health. My heart jumped..several times. She was back..she was home again..just as I had given up all hope. So today is a good day...a very good day :)

Although i'm very happy about my recent move...I enjoy my new job and all the other opportunities i have where I live now...I do miss the special moments like this. Living in the middle of nature..seeing the northern lights...the colors of the sunsets and sunrises. I'm glad i got the chance to start my photography while still living there, it really gave me some great moments to shoot :)

So not much uploading for me lately. Life is quite busy so have not had the time to keep up with my photography. Hopefully things will even out soon and i can get back into it =) For now I'm going through my catalog of old pictures having a second look to see if I find anything I like. This one is from Oslo. From Bergen aquarium. They just built a new sea-lion pen this summer and now they have seven (I think) sea lions there. Very fun and beautiful creatures. And as you can see also very curious. This one came right up to the window and stayed there staring at me...wondering what i was doing :)

So the move is done, everything is starting to get back to a normal state. We just got our internet installed and boy am I glad ;-) You never really know how much you use something until you have to do without for a while. Have not really had the time to get many photo's yet, but got a few. This one is a HDR of the the royal palace. The flag is up..that means the king is home..so nice of him to greet us welcome to Oslo ;-)

This will be my last upload for a while. Tomorrow big changes is comming fro me. Will be moving from my small island to Oslo. And I dont know how long it will be before i get the internettconection going in my new appartment. Hopefully not too long. Well....back to packing...cya all soon i hope =)
