2012-2013 Aladdin Movie Cast Dolls - Disney Store - Group Photo

The main cast members of the original animated movie Aladdin (1992) represented by dolls from the Disney Store. From front to back, and left to right, the dolls are Jafar, Jasmine, Aladdin and the Genie. The Genie has a plush lower body and is not posable. The other dolls are fully posable. Jafar was released in 2013, the others in 2012. Currently, Aladdin and Jasmine are sold out, Genie is on clearance for $3.99, and Jafar is $10 if 2 or more Classic dolls are bought.

Group photos of the Disney Store Classic Dolls representing the eleven official Disney Princesses and their animated movie cast members. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) to Brave (2012). The Princess, Prince and sidekick dolls are 11-12 inches tall, and are fully posable (with a few exceptions). They were released in 2012-2013. All dolls are from my personal collection.

My second batch of newly released Disney Parks Princess Shoe Ornaments, plus Villain Shoe Ornaments. These were all different from the ones I bought last week. Purchased at the China Closet Shop in Main Street in Disneyland Park (Anaheim), on Sunday May 12, 2013. They were $22.95 each. Shown are the Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Cinderella, Ariel (The Little Mermaid), and Rapunzel (Tangled). I believe that more styles are coming in the new future (especially for villains). The Princess Shoe Ornaments were all done by the Disney artist Cody Reynolds, and the villains by Costa Alavezos, as was the case for the Ear Hat Ornaments that were released last year (some of which are still available online and in Disney Parks). None of these shoe ornaments were limited edition.

My newly purchased Disney Parks Princess Shoe Ornaments are placed side by side with the corresponding Disney Parks Princess Ear Hat Ornaments, for those with matching ornaments. I just bought the Shoe Ornaments this past Sunday (May 12, 2013), the Ear Hat Ornaments were bought last year. Shown are Cinderella, Ariel and Rapunzel.

Merida was crowned the 11th official Disney Princess yesterday, in Walt Disney World. All of the other 10 Disney Princesses were there in the ceremony, and her mother Queen Elinor did the honors of actually crowning her. My Queen Elinor and Princess Merida dolls wish everyone a happy Mother's Day today, on Sunday May 12, 2013. In this group portrait, my Queen Elinor and Princess Merida (in Formal dress) posable dolls of different sizes hold hands and stand side by side. Merida followed her mother's wishes and is without her weapons. Shown are Limited Edition 17'' dolls, 12'' dolls, and 5'' mini dolls, all released in 2012 by the Disney Store.

The Disney Parks Princess Shoe Ornaments are placed side by side with the corresponding Disney Parks Princess Ear Hat Ornaments, for those with matching ornaments. I just bought the Shoe Ornaments; the Ear Hat Ornaments were bought last year. From left to right they represent Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Tiana (The Princess and the Frog). I hope they have more of the Princess Shoe Ornaments in the future. The Disney Cast Member at the shop said what they had out on display was their entire stock, and didn't know if more were coming in. The shop also had some of last year's ear hats for sale.

By the way, these Princess Ornaments, as well as the Alice and White Rabbit medium figure that I just bought, were all created by Disney artist Cody Reynolds.

The main cast members of the original animated movie Beauty and the Beast (1991) represented by dolls from the Disney Store. Belle is standing next to the Beast/Prince doll. When the Beast's head and jacket are removed, he transforms into the Prince. Both dolls are fully articulated and were released in 2012.

First look at the 2013 Formal Merida 11'' doll by the Disney Store. She has been completely deboxed, and is standing, supported by a doll stand (not included with the doll). Her accessories (bow, arrow and quiver) have been removed to more clearly show her golden belt. I wanted to take off her belt to put it on the 2012 Formal Merida doll. But it turns out after close inspection that not only is the belt sewn on to the dress, and sewn together at the middle, but it isn't even in one piece, nor is it wrapped completely around the dress. It is in fact four pieces, two short pieces that sewn to the waist of the dress, and the other two sewn to the waist sections, forming the overhanging parts of the belt. I've photographed the belt to show its construction.

First Look

Fully posable 11'' doll of Princess Merida in her Formal dress, made of glittering light blue-green satin, with gold trim. There is a printed golden Celtic design at the hem of her skirt. She also wears a gold satin sash around her waist, with a printed Celtic pattern. She wears light teal flat shoes. Comes with bow and arrow, and quiver. Her exact height is 11 1/4'', although the Disney Store lists her as 12'' high.

She is a companion doll to the 2012 Classic Merida 11'' Doll, who comes with the same accessories, but with a dark teal Adventure dress. There was also a slightly different 11'' Merida in formal dress, that came with the Brave Merida and Angus Doll Set (currently sold out). I photograph her boxed, during the deboxing, and fully deboxed. She is also shown with comparable dolls.
