Set out to shoot some snow, got dooped by a rise in temps and a subsequent change to rain. Same spot, but improvised on my idea. Also decided to go with the same treatment I've been giving my oddball series. Hope you enjoy.

Had to take out a spot of tape I forgot to take down before the shot but oh well, wasn't re-shooting.. This was by far the best take.

Wish this was 100% sooc but I found some snags that I had to correct, two spots that kept showing up from the outside pollution.

I have two more worthy versions of this shot, I intended on a color and BnW version but found a third option using lightroom desaturation.

All effects are done in one exposure. I had to tweak some levels in Lightroom on this one because everything going on caused some colors to get washed and an overall washiness.

I am pretty pleased, I planned on doing this black and white but the colors I picked up from the circuit board and the surprise clouds gave a nice contrast and I wanted to use it.

I'm not gonna lie, I love this trees in the tunnel technique. I have a few more similar shots from the night but you will likely never see them mwahaha.

Not is all that meets the eye...

Quite the night tonight with possibly the wettest snow I've ever encountered, but I welcome it with open shutters. I have this thing for snow.. and have not had a decent snow to shoot since I've owned a camera. This shot has been burning on my mind since I went here before but snow was a necessity for it to be right. So Tyflyy joined me for a snowy night out with the cameras and we got some goodies. Flashes in freezer bags to catch the flakes and big thanks to Tyflyy on the hp17.

Ordered a new light tool online, broke it up to use the parts separately, made three different tools from it, here's one..

I can make out a few faces with the shadows, stare for a little bit, it starts to get a little eerie.

Wish I could say this is 100% sooc but I had to remove one spot in the trees..... didn't notice it until I got home...

Other than that, I took a few testers to find the right white balance to make the sodium pretty and came up with this.

My original idea was thwarted tonight by damn security that came and lingered as soon as I arrived. I looked around in the field where I took refuge, and found this tree. Improv shot for the night, had to get out for mah birfday and wasn't gonna give up after all the effort.

quite a bit of this exposure was spent fumbling through my clothes to re-layer them properly and not lose any more in the runoff... first piece to go down was my wool buff... gross...

A wintery mix kept us at mothers house for another night. The way the ice clung to the trees was awesome. What's even better is they way the ice catches and carries the light. Shot not too far from my mothers house, stirred the neighbors who called her to see what was going on... Oops.

Almost forgot, lit with the new HP17... The potential is getting greater..

Shot the skull, then blind line up with the sky during the same exposure. Then 85 frames at 25 seconds a piece, stacked in starstax. Bit of a meteor trail in there, can you spot it? Need to to work on my Lightroom settings for the stars, I feel they are not maximized.
