Yosemite Time-Lapse Milky Way

I spent a weekend in April driving around Yosemite taking photos for this time-lapse. This was my first attempt capturing the Milky Way.

There are about a hundred things I'll do differently next time, but this was a great experience.

All photos were made with a Canon 60D.

About twenty minutes of the May 2012 "super moon" as it passed through its fullest phase around 8:40pm Pacific Time. Video made from just under 600 photos taken on a Canon 60D with 300mm focal length lens at f/5.6, 1/250 sec., and ISO 1000.

Mock-Mirage Sunset

I snapped this photo during an unusually beautiful sunset as the sun passed through the fog and appeared on the other side, just above the ocean.

I think I overexposed due to using the light meter instead of setting it to full manual. This mock-mirage produced the only green flash I've ever seen. In fact, it produced at least three of them. I'm still a little upset none of them showed up when I uploaded the photos to my computer. Here's a Wikipedia article explaining green flashes:

I guess my new goal will be to capture a green flash in photo or video. Any suggestions on capture or processing are greatly appreciated.

Shot from the UCSB campus at 1am. The bright light in the center is from an oil drilling platform just off the coast. I snapped this after an hour capturing the setting moon. I still haven't processed that time-lapse to my liking.
