Dandelion Seeds

Apologies for my absence; photography has unfortunately had to take a back seat during my exams. I'm just over halfway through now and in four weeks time, I shall be finished! The wait for summer is agonising.. especially now that the weather is beautiful and I just want to be outside taking photos and sunbathing and relaxing and basically doing anything but revision!

Anyway, today I had to take the opportunity to take some photographs. This one took a lot of attempts, and many dandelions lost their seeds in the process.. however, I'm very chuffed with the result! It's a bit dark and not very summery but I decided it looked better this way because it shows off the individual seeds much better!

I'm looking to do lots of photography projects over the summer so send me a message if you're interested!

This rose has been sat on my desk since Valentine's Day so I decided to separate all the petals and press it.. It was too beautiful not to photograph first!

No editing required thanks to the sunlight streaming in through my window!

I've been too busy to do any photography in the last few weeks thanks to my art coursework! This is another one of my dad's vintage cameras.. I wonder if anyone sells film for it on Ebay?

This is another photo from a shoot I did last summer. I took so many photos on that day that have been hidden away for months so now and then I'll post a new one from that shoot because she's too lovely to be forgotten!

In other news, I was second shooter for my first ever wedding yesterday! It was nerve-racking but really fun; I'm so excited to do more! I'll try and post some photographs from it in the next week or so..

This was taken from the top of a multi-storey car park. My camera lens didn't quite fit through the railings to take the photograph but I think the effect created is quite interesting anyway!

Today, my friend Dan and I finally got the chance to go taking photos in town. We probably spent an hour just at the train station taking long exposures. Most of them turned out a bit rubbish in some way but I'm fairly proud of this one..

I am spending way too long on Flickr these days and not enough time out taking photos. However, I have a photoshoot planned for Sunday (weather permitting) so hopefully I'll have some new photos up next week. Now to find some props..

The title is from one of the poems that forms 'In Memoriam' by Alfred Tennyson. I was struggling to make sense of some of the poems I am studying but my lovely boyfriend helped me to analyse them and indeed the distant exams have taken a lovelier hue!
